Dr. Rangachari is trained as a cellular and molecular immunologist, receiving his Ph.D. in Immunology at the University of Toronto in 2006, and completing his fellowship at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston in 2013. He trained as a cellular and molecular immunologist,  under Josef Penninger and Vijay Kuchroo. Since 2013, he is on faculty at Laval University in Quebec City, Canada, where his lab studies the immune factors that exacerbate secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. Most recently, his attention has turned to understanding how sex hormones and chromosomes can impact this disease. He holds funding from NSERC, CIHR and the MS Society of Canada, and is a Junior-2 scholar of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé.
